The next series of IAHAIO meetings will take place 21 October to 23 October at
The University of Vienna, Center for Organismic Biology, Dept. Behavioural Biology. Althanstraße 14 A-1090 Vienna.

The draft programme is as follows:

Friday 21 October, from 12pm - IAHAIO Board meeting

Saturday 22 October Morning - IAHAIO 2011 Annual General Meeting - all IAHAIO members are welcome to attend Afternoon - IAHAIO member workshops and presentations- all IAHAIO members are welcome to attend

Sunday 23 October Visit to the Wolf Science Centre, Vienna

There are many hotels near the University of Vienna. The Hotel Alexander is particularly close to the university.

The IAHAIO 2010 Annual Meeting took place on 1st July at the Conference Centre in Stockholm, just prior to the opening of the IAHAIO 2010 conference. Three IAHAIO Board members retired from the Board and were thanked for their excellent contribution over many years: Dr Dennis Turner (President), Anne Docherty (Secretary) and Tristan Follin (Vice President Conferences). Three new IAHAIO Board members were elected and welcomed: Professor Rebecca Johnson (President), Marie-Jose Enders-Slegers (Vice President Conferences) and Andrea Beetz (Secretary). The AGM accepted unanimously a new affiliate member organisation in Taiwan, the Formosan Animal Assisted Activity and Therapy Association.

The IAHAIO 2009 Annual Meeting and Forum were held in Gruenau, Austria and hosted by the Konrad Lorenz Research Station (Prof. Kurt Kotrschal, Director and president of IEMT-Austria) on Saturday, 27 June with a tour of the new Wolf Science Center (in Ernstbrunn) and the famous hand-rearing goose station in Gruenau. The AGM accepted unanimously the new national member organization in The Netherlands and advance American Humane to national membership status.
