AFIRAC's "Pets in Cities" Seminar

Horizontal Line----------------------------------

Making a place for pet animals in towns and cities is an increasingly shared concern for municipalities around the world.

In an effort to better identify the policies for harmoniously integrating pet animals into the urban environment, and to measure developments and trends that emerge from them, Afirac is proposing to organize a "Pets in Cities Seminar" to foster greater sharing of experiences. This special forum for reviewing ongoing actions will be organized at the International Conference on Home/Animal Relations, held every three years.

In addition, this initiative is also designed to build a network of cities and organizations which implement programmes that respect the presence of animals in cities, and to create an observatory of practices that can provide a panorama of the situation the world over.
